Highland Cattle Classifieds

We are excited to be offering sellers of AHCA-registered cattle a venue to advertise their calves without the hassle of taking them to auction, while also having the peace of mind of knowing where their calves are going. Buyers can have more assurance that they are purchasing registered cattle and sellers are not scammers that are going to disappear with their money.

Elm Hollow Farm will not be involved in the sale, nor will we profit from the sale. The only role our website will play is to provide a place for buyers and sellers to meet.

Highland Hills Rose heifer calf with dam
Highland Hills Rose

Looking for that well-built, red heifer to lighten up your calving season? Here she is!

Rose has three impact bulls in her recent ancestry! The link above will take you to the AHCA herd book where you can see her background for yourself. Her genetics are quite impressive and include Stone Palace, Stonecliffe, Benmore, Drover Hill, and her grandsire, BR Voodoo Magic!

Her beautiful grand dam, Muirneag 3rd of VH, is still a very productive member of the Elm Hollow herd at age 14. Since Muirneag has been at Elm Hollow, she has never missed a year of calving and one of her offspring successfully raised twins this year!

Rose has just been weaned, is friendly in the pasture, and enjoys the attention of good scratches and treats. She has a beautiful, straight top line and practically perfect feet, compliments of the Big Ridge line. Those traits will be very desirable and passed right on to your calves. Don’t miss this one!

Here is Rose’s sire, Elm Hollow’s Jager. I can see Voodoo Magic stamped all over Jager. And her dam, Davis Farm Tricia.

WND Rebel

Rebel is such a beautiful example of a Highland Bull. When you click on his AHCA link at the bottom you will find at least 8 impact bulls in his ancestry and that many impact or elite impact dams as well. Production strength is a great asset for any herd and Rebel promises to add that to yours.

This is what his owner had to say when I asked about Rebel’s temperament: “Rebel is very easy to get along with …he enjoys scratches and only requires a little hay or feed to do pour-on dewormer or fly repellent. He was halter trained at weaning, but hasn’t been haltered as an adult.”

Rebel’s rich, yellow coloring will allow for a variety calf colors. Since so many of us enjoy watching for that in our calves, he would add some spice to the calving time on your farm!

Rebel’s dam, HH Ivory, was a proud mama and kept Rebel close to her.

Her dam, GKT Ruby Roxanne, is very proud of her little “mini me”. Since calves seem to often inherit their dam’s maternal instincts, you can bet that little Ruby will be an easy calver and good mother. This would be a fantastic first heifer for your fold. Just remember that she will need a companion!

Ruby’s Sire, HHH Gold Kanyon is a truly handsome and gentle fellow who can trace his ancestry to at least two impact dams and a well known impact bull, DH Montgomery.
