For Sale – Elm Hollow’s Muirneag, AHCA # 68351

An excellent addition to any serious breeder’s fold.

Born on December 12, 2023, to one of our best cows, Muirneag 3rd of VH, this little heifer promises to be an excellent addition to any serious breeder’s fold.

The name, Muirneag (morn’ egg), means darling girl in Gaelic, and suits this heifer perfectly. Temperament is so important when dealing with cattle and Muirneag has been a joy to work with during halter training.

Like her mother, Muirneag is very feminine and is structurally correct with a straight topline, feet well formed, and body length/depth very well proportioned.

As she has grown, Muirneag has developed such pretty highlights! She will be a beauty when full grown. Muirneag will be a moderately sized mature cow.

Because Muirneag is our last pasture bred heifer from BR Voodoo Magic, she is going to be really hard to part with.

Muirneag has become close friends with a pretty steer from her halter class. She is never far away from Elm Hollow’s Matherson and she would love to have him accompany her to her new home. 

We normally price our steers at $2500 when they are sold as pets or 4H projects, but if Muirneag’s buyer chooses to grant her wish, Matherson’s price will be reduced to $2000 as Muirneag’s companion.

You may submit your opening bid at this time if you wish, but you don’t have to make a bid at this time to be included in the sale. This is like a slow paced auction where you can ask questions about the calf and have time to think before you bid.

I’ll be asking you some questions before the sale begins to see if there might be a calf coming up that I think might be a better fit for you. Feel free to ask me questions as well. We’ll have three more heifer calves available this fall. One will be later this week and will be a smaller framed girl that we have nicknamed the tiny dancer.

Muirneag is available for a minimum opening bid of $6,500. The sale is Tuesday, August 20, 6:00 pm Eastern Time.

Update: Nuirneag sold for $7,800 with her companion Matherson for $2,000.
