Meg

SNS Rockhouse Meg has been bred to Big Ridge Bearnard and is due in late October or early November. She calves easily, produces beautiful babies and probably has 8-10 good calving years left. Meg is bossy with the other cows, and her dream is to be the lead cow of someone’s herd. Meg is approachable and will allow grooming right out in the pasture. She is in excellent condition.

If you are considering Highlands for the first time, this cow would do for you what Winnie has done for us. She would lead a fold of younger cows and heifers and do it with grace. The reason we are offering Meg for sale is that we already have the perfect lead cow here and Meg is a bit depressed because she is not top cow.

AHCA Registration: #45792
Date of Birth: 8/10/07

Flora of River View

Flora is an excellent mother that calves without assistance. She produces healthy calves and will come to you and take treats. Flora does not stand still for grooming in the pasture yet. She is fully registered and very feminine looking. We are offering her for sale because we are refining our breeding program and she doesn’t quite fit the direction we are headed in color and shape of horns.

AHCA Registration:  52,033
Date of Birth:  11/22/2012

Flora is pictured below with her 2017 and 2018 calves.

Nutmeg

Nutmeg is 100% Highland unregistered heifer calf. Her Sire’s original owner neglected to complete his registration due to lack of experience. Her Dam is Rockhouse Meg, AHCA #45792. Nutmeg will be halter trained after weaning in May. She appears to be turning black, but it could be that her final color will be like her mother’s. It is hard to tell at this point.

AHCA Registration: Not registerable.
Date of Birth: 10/5/2017

Nutmeg is pictured at about two weeks, and then at four months. Also shown are her Sire “Sam” and Dam Rockhouse Meg, AHCA #45792.
